The Cause: Child Poverty in Toronto
All over the world children are overlooked and left in poverty. Our group decided to focus on Toronto – our home – where poverty still plagues our youth. Sadly, Toronto is worse off than the rest of Canada: one in three children live in poverty!
SLIC believes in a better Toronto: one where every child has a warm place to sleep, where parents do not need to worry where their family’s food will come from, and where quality of life is not measured by annual income. SLIC dreams of a Toronto without child poverty!
