Our Vision: a Benefit Concert
Toronto has a thriving music scene reflective of its rich cultural background. There are hundreds of bands, venues, clubs and concerts scattered throughout the city, calling people to gather every night of the week. Concerts are a catalyst for assembly and action; they bring people together, from different experiences and all walks of life.
It was clear that the ideal way to appeal to our generation would be a benefit concert. Students share an undying love for music. With this in mind, our hope is to combine this love for music with Toronto culture, and use it as a platform from which to relay the realities of child poverty, and to encourage youth to act. What better way to promote a message than to have musicians, who teens look up to, advocating these same principles?
