Ex. telephone wire

The seven essential inputs are:

Processes – all the things done to or with the inputs in a communication system in order to get the desired result/output. Also they are all the activities involved in creating the messages, sending them, and receiving them.
- What is the desired output of a communication system?
The desired output of a communication system is that the message will received.
- Describe at least two positive impacts of a communication system.
- We now have fast access to wealth of information
- The ability to communicate over long distances
- Describe two concerns many people have about the impacts of television.
- Violent TV shows have been criticized as encouraging violent or antisocial behaviour
- Watching TV affects a person’s reading habits and their reading ability
- How is privacy affected by communication systems?
There is a large amount of a person’s financial and medical conditions stored on a computer. This information can be easily accessed by unfriendly business and agencies. Also telemarketing produces a privacy issue. Many people do not want companies calling their houses about purchasing products or answering surveys. These are two ways in which someone’s privacy can be invaded.
- What are some physical problems commonly associated with using a computer?
Some of the common physical problems are:
- Blurred Vision
- Eyestrain
- Headaches
- What is the concern about electromagnetic radiation?
The concern about electromagnetic radiation is that it might possibly lead to contributing towards a person’s chances at getting some form of cancer.
